Short version: everything you log stays on your device. We don’t run a server, we don’t ask you to make an account, and we can’t see your data. The free version of the App shows ads from Google; your logged entries are never shared with Google or used for advertising.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Poop It mobile app (the “App”) handles information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
The App lets you log entries — such as time, consistency, mood, intensity, duration, and optional notes. This information can relate to your health. It is stored only on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData). We do not operate a server, we do not require an account, and we do not collect, transmit, or have access to the entries you log. If you delete the App, this data is removed with it.
If you turn on Apple Health sync, the App writes your entries to Apple Health on your device. That data is handled by Apple under your Health settings. We never use information from Apple Health, or anything you log, for advertising or marketing.
The free version of the App shows full-screen ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads can appear when you move between screens or open the log screen. If you buy Full Access, the App stops showing ads.
To deliver and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK inside the App collects some information directly from your device and sends it to Google. This can include:
What Google does not get from us: the App does not send your logged entries, notes, Apple Health data, or name to Google or to any advertiser, and ads are not chosen based on what you log.
The App does not ask for Apple’s “Allow Tracking” permission and does not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
Google acts under its own privacy policy when it processes this information. You can read more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your information. Apart from the advertising data described above, which Google collects directly, the App contains no analytics SDK.
Full Access is offered as an in-app purchase — a yearly auto-renewable subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information. Apple’s handling of your data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We, the developer, do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, precise location, or any health records, and we do not run any server that receives data from the App. The only data that leaves your device for advertising is the information Google collects as described in section 2.
The App can show summaries and informational “watch-outs” based on the data you enter. These are for general information only and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and the App is not a medical device. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional with questions about your health. Any report you generate (for example, a PDF) is created on your device from your own data and is shared only if and where you choose to share it.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
